Four sentenced following burglary and thefts - Appleton |

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, four people have been sentenced for offences linked to a series of burglaries and thefts from a property in Appleton that belonged to a 93-year-old man. Between 28 April and 6 May 2025, the unoccupied property was targeted multiple times, resulting in the theft of thousands of pounds worth of valuable and highly sentimental items. The victim, who had recently moved into a care home, was a lifelong engineer, collector and restorer. Over many decades he had amassed an extensive collection including model steam engines, boats, vintage motorcycles, antiques and other historic items.
